Meh, I did a (roughly) 5 week EMT/WEMT program at SOLO back in 2011. The training was top notch. We learned what we needed to learn to be entry level EMTs, especially considering most of us weren’t going into traditional EMS roles. It was immersive, 7-5 every day, and tons of hands on training. To this day, I still pull on that training as the foundation of my healthcare education, even as my roles and titles have developed in healthcare.

In Colorado this is changing, as most agencies require you as a EMT to have your IV/IO cert upon application or within 90 days of being in that company. I’m currently in the process of obtaining my IV/IO cert thanks to your videos! They really helped me pass EMT school and keep helping as I transition to my first EMS role thank you!

As of July 1st they changed the questions tbh I think it’s easier but also it’s in like big section and there’s no half credit

@TheParamedicCoach I heard from one source that the patient has to be sedated to perform this procedure, but then I saw a YT video of a guy being successfully cardioverted while conscious, although I assume he had pain management on board. In your experience what would you typically give a patient to prepare them for this procedure? Thanks!

I was apart of the last cycle of classes at my college to receive the NREMT psychomotor. I believed my whole class passed.

So I completed my Paramedic and am now certified through registry and my state. I never used this channel unfortunately. BUT this is exactly what the doctor order for continued education. What an excellent interview this was. Very thankful for this kind of content because it's almost non existent or you have to spend 500 dollars to go to some trauma seminar etc. Geeat stuff!

My child had DCM caused by myocarditis with a normal EKG. Then husband got myocarditis with a normal EKG also. Husband was sent home first day from ER with just a “cold”. Next day it was heart failure.

Also, being "SAD" can affect your heart. This is a good way to remember this!
